Kiwi Watermelon Slushie Recipe (Slush, Slushy)

A refreshing drink the whole family will LOVE. This simple slushie recipe is loaded with fresh ingredients and packed with electrolytes, minerals, & vitamins.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup watermelon roughly chopped
  • 1 kiwi peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1 tsp honey omit if serving to children under 1 year old
  • splash of lime
  • handful of ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds optional

Equipment

  • Blender

Method
 

  1. First, gather all ingredients, wash produce, and roughly chop as needed.
  2. Next, blend in a blender for approximately 45 seconds or until desired consistency.
  3. Now, pour it into a glass. ENJOY your beautiful, wholesome, and homemade slushie!

Notes

TIPS
  • If you add spinach, the color will be brown. If you desire a vibrant red slushy, then omit spinach.
  • Freeze leftover slushies in an ice cube tray with a popsicle stick for a healthy snack for later. Perfect for a hot summer day. 
  • Desired Consistency: If too thin, add more ice. If too icy, add a splash of coconut water.
